Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet the whole Batista family. That’s right, we had our session yesterday and I’m posting today! I just couldn’t wait to start editing…Have you ever seen a more photogenic family?
I met the Batista’s at Lettuce Lake Park right here in Tampa. It was a gorgeous day–mid-70’s, sunshine, and a slight breeze. The park is almost completely shaded, so the trick was finding spots with sunlight coming through the trees at just the right angle, and capturing faces that weren’t spotted with tree shadows! At first, I was a little worried, but there was certainly no reason for that…as you can see, the Batista’s were amazing to work with, relaxed and fun, and you can see the love they have for one another through their smiling eyes.
We walked along the boardwalk first and captured a few shots, but with such a large group of people, not to mention their sweet pup, it was difficult to get group shots along the small boardwalk.
Once we went back out to the main path and made our way to the park, the sunshine became our friend and the smiles didn’t stop.
The Batista’s furry friend is a pitbull named Penny Lane. She’s less than a year and so full of energy. This was my first full shoot with a dog this active, but she was a gem. I got lots of kisses between takes and it was no surprise..she is one loved dog!
I’m so thankful to have met the Batista’s and capture their growing family.
