Walking through Jerusalem, Part 1

Travel-1

Ah, here we go…welcome to Israel!! It’s been almost a month since I returned from my trip and what a task it was to make my way through the thousands of photos that were captured during the two-week tour. As many of you may know, I was contacted by Chandler Tours to accompany this group of 40 people (pictured below) on their tour of Israel from May 21st to June 2nd.

This opportunity was rather monumental; not only was it the first time I’ve been asked to accompany a tour as their official photographer, but it was also my first time to Israel. As a Bible believer, this trip will have an impact on my faith for the rest of my life.

We stayed in Jerusalem the first week of the tour and in Galilee the second week of the tour. While staying in Jerusalem we spent two days exploring the city, one day out in the desert, one day visiting sites south of the city, and one day visiting countryside north of the city. While staying in Galilee, we spent time on and around the Sea of Galilee and in the Golan Heights.

Over the course of the next month, I’ll be sharing the experience with you here, giving you a kind of “virtual tour” through photos of this beautiful country. I won’t be able to give extensive commentary on every aspect of the tour, but many of the photographs speak for themselves. I hope you’ll be inspired.

First, we’ll walk through Jerusalem.
