We met Lisa and Phil in Downtown Dunedin, FL on a sunny Sunday afternoon and quickly realized what a hustling spot it is on the weekend! Wow! They were champs to deal with the crowds and listen to my instructions at the same time. It’s hard to do when you’ve never done a professional photo shoot! But Lisa and Phil quickly caught on to posing and just enjoyed being together instead of focusing on the people around. Lisa’s dog Maria was also the best! She’s a cute little Yorkie-poo. Lisa said one of the reasons she knew Phil was “the one” was his love for Maria. He’s a keeper, for sure!
When I asked them about their favorites memory since they started dating, they BOTH answered the proposal!
Phil: “My favorite memory is recent. It is our engagement moment. It was clumsy and I wasn’t the most articulate because I just wanted to get to the moment when I heard her say yes. I saw how happy she was and I realized how happy it makes me to see her happy and I hope I can have many more of those moments. It was great too that Maria (her dog) was a part of it because she is so important to Sarah. It felt the three of us were officially becoming a family.”
Lisa: “There are so many good memories, it is hard to choose just one! I think I have to agree with Phil and choose the proposal. Phil proposed to me in the perfect way and it was just so special. He involved my dog Maria and I felt so loved and cherished. Every detail was just perfect, and reflected our personalities perfectly. I was so happy that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and I cannot wait to marry him!”
Lisa’s parents came by to pick up Maria before we headed over to Honeymoon Island State Park for the second half of the session. It was an absolutely perfect night for a beautiful sunset. You don’t want to miss the jaw-dropping silhouette shots at the end of the evening!
We can’t wait for their wedding in October! Maybe Maria will make an appearance on the big day too!
