Ashley & Eric – Engaged

Jun 14, 2021

Here’s a short, funny story for your Monday… I have actually known Eric and Ashley for the last six years. Ashley and I graduated from the same college in 2016 and Eric and I worshipped with the same church for about five years! However, I haven’t seen either of them the last couple years. It was during this time they started dating and fell in love. To top it off, neither of them knew I’m a wedding photographer. So when Ashley inquired and we connected, and we realized who we were talking to, it was a wonderful surprise! We knew right away that working together was going to be such a pleasure and that was truly confirmed at their engagement session last Friday night.

Fort DeSoto is one of my favorite places to shoot! Not only that, Ashley and Eric brought their sweet dogs along for the first half of their session! Maverick and Mia did SO GOOD! You’ll be just as impressed as I was when you see their modeling skills (and their owners). We had the most perfect sunset to end the night, complete with an empty beach and twirling in the warm ocean waves. There’s even a little something magical at the very end of the post, so be sure to read all the way to the end!

One last thing before you read on… let me just say, it is so special to capture these moments for couples. I get a front row seat witnessing their love story unfold during one of the most important milestones of their relationship. As you scroll through these images, I hope you’ll see a glimpse of what I mean. Ashley and Eric have the kind of love that is quiet and sweet, but when you see it, its strength radiates all around. We can’t wait for their wedding in October!
